O4W March Member of the Month: Kathy J.

We were very fortunate to add this outgoing and dry witted runner and creative to FitWit O4W during a pandemic. Even though she only comes to us out of convenience 😉 (she lives in the building that overlooks the FitWit O4W parking lot), she is consistent, committed to practicing patience when it comes to moving in a more intentional manner, and is always great fun to have in class. Learn more about Kathy below and learn even more by joining her for a neighborhood run!

When did you first start FitWiting? Summer 2020

Tell us about your sports & fitness background: I like moving my body. Did yoga for a long time, then got involved in triathlon. Did that for 10 years…just the sprint and olympic distance – with ocean swims! Love biking and hiking. I ran my one and only marathon in Los Angeles during a freakish monsoon rainstorm.

What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting FitWit? I’m definitely stronger and am seeing more muscle definition.

What sort of changes in your life have you experienced out of taking on something like FitWit that were totally unexpected? I can do a lot of push ups now.

Why do you FitWit? Because it’s right outside my door.

Favorite workouts? The ones where we run and jump around a lot.

Least favorite workouts? The ones with heavy weights.

Three words to describe you: Impatient. Next question.

Any favorite FitWit moments? Copernicus.

Fitness Goals? Staying active for life.

Words to live by (Favorite Quote)? Adventure!

Something cool we don’t know about you? There’s so much you don’t know. Let’s go for a run and chat.

Anything else you’d care to share? Thank God for FitWit. You’ve made moving to a new city during a pandemic very bearable! Grateful for all of you.
