O4W Member of the Month: Lindsay N

Big round of applause to our January Member of the Month, Lindsay N! Lindsay and her wife, Jamie, first joined the FitWit family over 5 years ago. When they first arrived in 2014, they felt like family and even with a lengthy hiatus before returning in the summer of 2018, they picked right up where they left off. Last year you recognized Lindsay as a member of the pregnant FitWitter crew (and a strong crew it was!) who was able to maintain her consistent exercise routine as we watched her belly grow bigger and bigger. Now she is back at it, with a beautiful baby girl and renewed sense of effort and determination. If you’ve seen her on the air bikes, you know she tears it up and inspires others to push harder and longer with her work ethic. Read on to learn more about Lindsay and give him a high five next time you see him!

What sort of changes have you seen in your body, health and fitness since starting FitWit? I have seen a huge improvement in my recovery time – I am able to catch my breath faster and resume my workout much more efficiently than I ever have before.

What sort of changes in your life have you experienced out of taking on something like FitWit that were totally unexpected? I have met some many awesome people – working out with friends is a lot more fun (and motivating) than working out solo!

Why do you FitWit? For the community.  I have tried many different workout platforms over the years – especially through ClassPass, I feel like I have stepped in to most gyms here in Atlanta.  It was actually through ClassPass that I found my way back to FitWit. I dropped in for a class (Stacy was coaching that day) and she not only recognized me, but welcomed me back with open arms. I knew after that class where I wanted to continue my fitness journey…

Favorite workouts? I really like the HIIT style workouts that incorporate strength and cardio – you can do just about anything for a minute!

Least favorite workouts? Burpees – anything with burpees.  (And well those dang yellow bars… nothing fun ever comes from using those in a workout.)

Three words to describe you: Currently (with our new little addition, Chloe): Happy, Grateful and TIREDDDDDD…..

Any favorite FitWit moments? My first workout back from being pregnant was amazing!  I thought I could run faster, jump higher, and lift stronger than I ever could before.  (I am pretty sure that wasn’t the case, but man is that how I felt!) I blame it on the bed rest…

Fitness Goals? 2020 is the year of the pull-up and double-under.  I have never done either in my life, and I think this is the year I am going to make that happen!

Words to live by (Favorite Quote)? 2020: Consistency – Just continue to show up, in all aspects of my life… being a mom, working out, knocking out that to-do list as work. Etc.

Something cool we don’t know about you? I have an amazing wife and daughter (Jamie made me write this 🙂 And, I played softball and rugby in college.AND I love most sports (watching, playing, etc.) – however, I am a bit obsessed with the Washington Redskins. Training camp was in my home town, so I grew up visiting (and eventually working) at the camp…
